Removing rust stains

Removing rust stains

If the stain of rust appeared on cotton or linen fabric we're lucky.

Worse, if there is on wool or silk. Its removal is easy. If the stain is fresh to soak it with lemon juice. We can also replace it with a 10 percent solution of citric acid. The treatment should be repeated several times and then rinse the stain with water.

With rust stains are difficult to remove. Pour it hot, a 5 percent solution of oxalic acid and rinse in warm water with a little ammonia. Repeat this several times until the stain disappears. After the treatment, wash the fabric.
