The Use of Ammonia for Cleaning Your Oven The first step is to turn on your oven at 150 , once your oven has warmed up to this temperature you can turn it off.Items needed:
• Small bowl
• ½ cup ammonia
• Large pan (w/boiling water)
• Dishwashing liquid
You will need to put the large pan of boiling water on the bottom shelf of your oven and the bowl of ammonia on the top shelf; let sit overnight. Then remove the bowl and pan. Let oven air out by leaving the oven door open. Next step: Clean your oven. Use the ammonia with a few drops of dishwashing liquid to clean and make your oven smell fresh.

TIP: Use an old newspaper to wipe the flakes out into a trash bag. To keep food from baking on your oven walls or bottom of the oven, sprinkle salt on the food before it has time to become hard.
